THE FREJA BEHA EFFECT

ph. Freya Beja photographed by Adam Whitehead via TFS

It's funny how something on a celebrity or friend or whatever can influence your decision so much even though it won't ever look the same on you. Freja Beha was the main influence when I had my parted fringe cut in a couple of years ago, which I have never been able to get rid of, and again when I had my hair cut short earlier this year… now she is making me rethink my decision to grow out both. I haven't had a middle parting for so long so I'm trying to grow it long enough until I can make an informed decision but it is just so damn difficult, especially when I want to look like that. Although that's pretty much impossible. Wah.

  1. Hi India, I never comment on your blog, because you never comment on mine, and quite frankly I think your extremely rude, bitch. But I thought this post got my attention enough to break this long standing tradition. What I love about these photographs is that they are just about the model in her clothes, theres nothing distracting us from the subject, Freja has a connection with the camera here which is more fluid and natural than similar shoots I've seen with different models. I'm going to leave you with a word which will no doubt become a common one in your vocabulary... 'Smuk' (Beautiful in Danish) x

  4. She is definitely my hair inspiration too, and I have to say I like my hair better now than I ever have done. If only I could thank her personally :P x
